Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 September 2026
These terms apply when you use spruv.net, including when you submit music. By submitting a track or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Spruv.
1. Who we are
Spruv is run by Jonas Böös, a private individual in Sweden ("Spruv", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@spruv.net.
Spruv is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Spotify. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB.
2. What Spruv does
Spruv runs curated playlists on Spotify. Artists submit tracks, a human curator listens, and the curator decides whether a track fits one of our playlists.
- Submitting is free. We never charge you to be considered, and we never accept payment in exchange for a placement.
- A person decides. We use software, including AI, to help organise submissions and suggest which playlists might fit. Every placement decision is made by a human curator.
- No placement is guaranteed. Curation is about fit. We may decline a track without giving a reason, although we often send feedback.
- Placements are editorial decisions. A curator can move your track to another playlist or remove it at any time, for example to keep a playlist coherent. A placement is not a promise of any number of streams, followers or listeners.
3. Who can use Spruv
You must be at least 16 to submit music or create an account. If you submit on behalf of an artist, band or label, you confirm that you are allowed to act for them, and these terms apply to them too.
4. Your music and your promises
When you submit a track, you promise that:
- you own the track, or have every right and permission needed to submit it and to let it be placed on public playlists;
- the track does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- the information you give us is true, including your answer about how the music was made (for example, whether AI was used);
- you have not used, and will not use, bots, paid stream services or any other artificial method to inflate plays of the track or of our playlists.
If any of this turns out not to be true, we may remove the track and close your account.
5. Permission you give us
You keep all rights to your music. By submitting, you give Spruv a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to:
- add your track to our Spotify playlists and remove it again;
- show your artist name, track title, artwork, bio, photo and links on spruv.net, including on a public artist page;
- mention and link to your track when we promote our playlists, for example in editorial articles or social posts.
This permission lasts while your track is on Spruv, and ends when you ask us to remove your music. Material that was already published, such as a past article, may stay online.
6. Your account and your content
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Anything you send us (bios, photos, messages, feedback) must be yours to share and must not be unlawful, hateful, harassing or misleading. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Things you must not do
- Try to manipulate playlists or placements, for example with multiple accounts or artificial streams.
- Submit someone else's music as your own.
- Attempt to access parts of Spruv you are not authorised to use, or disrupt the site.
- Use Spruv to send spam, or scrape it in bulk.
8. Ending things
You can ask us to remove your music or delete your account at any time by emailing hello@spruv.net. We may suspend or close an account, or remove tracks, if these terms are broken, or if we stop running Spruv. When Spruv removes a track from a playlist, it is removed from the Spotify playlist as well.
9. Our responsibility
We run Spruv with care, but we provide it as it is. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that a placement will lead to any particular result. Spotify controls its own platform, and we are not responsible for Spotify's decisions, outages or changes.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income or lost opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Spruv after that, the new terms apply.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If we cannot sort out a disagreement by talking to each other, it will be decided by a Swedish court. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the right to bring a claim where you live, and you can use the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN).
